Two Dimensional Shapes : Quadrilaterals and Triangles
- Year 2 MathsIn kindergarten, students learn to visually identify circles, triangles, squares and rectangles. In the first grade they learn about defining attributes of these shapes and to distinguish these from non-defining attributes (shape, orientation, color etc.). With Two Dimensional Shapes Worksheet kids practice identifying the defining attributes of triangles, rectangles, squares and trapezoids. For example, all these shapes are closed shapes and this is a defining attribute. They also identify shapes based on number of sides, number of equal sides etc.
